It took me a long time to make the drawing of "Footsteps in the Snow". Rather than transfer from the drawing on paper by squaring up, I preferred to practise the drawing until I could transfer it with confidence, freehand, on to the the hesian. For this rug I "cheated" by making a template of the cat in "Footsteps", turning it so that this cat is going in the other direction, and giving it a different colouring and setting. Much more relaxing!
