View over Rowntree Park Autumn Rowntree Park is in York, and we live in an end-terrace house that overlooks it. This is the view from the converted roof-space where my husband, Lewis, has his study, and where we both store our rag rug materials. I made a drawing with a rug (or wall-hanging) in mind, because I was so struck by the evening sunshine on the autumn leaves. I used the same drawing for all four rugs, working them during the appropriate seasons and enjoying the changes of light, colour and emphasis. |
