This exhibition is the fourth of its kind. 10 YORK CRAFTERS is a group of friends who get together for a morning each week in each other's houses to make rag rugs, appliqué and needlepoint hangings, to knit, tat and spin, and to exchange ideas about crafts and every other subject under the sun.

We have been working together for more than 15 years, exhibiting our crafts every three years , and this event has attacted people from greater distances as it has become more widely known.

Apart from the crafts we make together, our members will bring to the exhibition baskets, prints and anything else they have made in the last three years.

During the course of this 15-day event, we shall show visitors various rug-making techniques, demonstrating and encouraging people of any age to have a go.

We have stalls selling Hessian, hooks, cards and ferns, and most of the exhibition items on display are also for sale.

Everybody is welcome. If you already make rag rugs, bring your current work and join us for a few hours!
