'10 York Crafters' display and sell their work in this magnificent space every three years. This is their fifth exhibition and will include, besides rag rugs: wall-hangings, baskets, prints, pyrography and knitting.

Members of 'Ten York Crafters' will be on hand to demonstrate and instruct anyone who would like to learn about rag rug making, and materials will be on sale. All rag rug makers are welcome to come and work with us in groups or singly.

School parties can be shown how to hook and prod (by appointment). Beginners wishing to learn are also welcome. Enquiries 01904 624272 OR 01904 630055.

Deconstruct : Reconstruct showed work by national and regional contemporary textile artists and makers who are somehow inspired by traditional techniques or ways of working. It explored the inheritance of techniques and the traditions of making for the home to increase accessibility to non-textile specialists and audiences.
